Dharma Discussion
Discovering the Dharma Together
We gather every Sunday morning to engage with those interested in Buddhist practice by offering an open discussion in the context of Zen Buddhism. Each dharma discussion is facilitated by Eidō Ramirez, a Zen Buddhist practitioner.
Dharma is a Sanskrit word that refers to the nature of existence. By opening ourselves to experiencing this moment as it already is, we can directly connect with the nature of existence as inseparable from who we are. Exploration of the dharma cultivates inner wellbeing as we investigate into the basis of our individual suffering through Zen practice. Motivated to benefit others, we reflect on our capacity to recover from our clouded perception of life so that we may clearly see the nature of who we already are in this moment.
Rooted in Zen Buddhism, each discussion includes sitting meditation (Zazen) to apply what we learn and to experience life in a transformative way. We welcome anyone of any belief, tradition, culture, or personal affiliation to participate. We meet every Sunday morning in an open discussion on a variety of topics. We focus on deep inquiry into our meditation practice each week and to support each other in the process of what may arise for us individually in our Zen practice. For the benefit of others, we gather to discover the dharma together.
